癸卯仲秋，壮月朔望。吉时良宵，桂风纳祥。今有道祖之玄裔，咸集中国之茅山，谈玄论道，惠风和畅；机锋对接，满目琳琅。其灼灼之慧光，扶摇九霄以云趋；其煌煌之大道，涵覆宇下而星仰。

身临百年未有之变局，秉持万邦和合之大愿，我们来自世界40个国家和地区的道教界代表共同倡议：

一、研究梳理核心教理教义，推动道教文化建设。精读道典，深研经藏，注重经典传承与现代解读，积极弘扬道教文化，惠及世界道众。

二、倡导清静自然、见素抱朴、少私寡欲的理念，提倡崇俭戒奢生活方式，不为外物所累。弘扬道教“天人合一、道法自然”思想传统，促进人类身心健康，倡导人与自然和谐相处。

三、加强人才培养，造就品德高尚、素养深厚、技能优秀的人才队伍，注重运用互联网等现代技术，开展跨文化交流，讲好道教故事，传播和谐之音。

四、践行心慈于物、齐同慈爱、济世利人的教义精神，加强世界道教组织间的交流合作。投身公益慈善事业，致力于服务社会、利益众生，促进人类社会和谐发展。

五、尊重世界文明多样性，推进不同国家、不同地区、不同文明、不同宗教间友好交流互鉴。反对冲突对抗、提倡合作共赢，弘扬全人类共同价值观，为构建人类命运共同体、维护世界和平不懈努力！

The Maoshan Declaration of the 5th International Daoism Forum

In the midst of autumn of the Gui-Mao year, as the gallant moon heralds the new phase. On this auspicious night, when the sweet fragrance of osmanthus brings good omens, we gather together under the favorable night sky with the fragrance of laurels carried on a gentle breeze. Here, descendants of Daoist ancestors from all corners converge at China"s Maoshan Mountain, where they discuss the profound mysteries of the Dao, creating an atmosphere of harmony. With ideas colliding and perspectives aligning, we witness a multitude of splendid views. The brilliant wisdom emanates like a blazing comet, soaring through the boundless sky, and the magnificent Dao envelops the world, illuminating all beneath the heavens.

Standing amidst a century of unparalleled changes and holding firmly the grand aspiration of harmony amongst all nations, representatives of the Daoist community from 39 countries and regions worldwide, jointly propose:

1.To study and elucidate the core doctrines of Daoism, fostering the construction of Daoist culture. We shall deeply delve into the Daoist classics, emphasizing the inheritance of ancient scriptures alongside modern interpretations, actively promoting Daoist culture for the benefit of Daoists worldwide.

2.To advocate for a simple, natural, and modest way of life, embracing simplicity and cherishing plainness, free from worldly attachments. We shall uphold the traditional Daoist ideology of "unity between Heaven and humanity" and "Dao models itself after nature", promoting holistic well-being and encouraging harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.

3.To enhance talent development, nurturing individuals of high moral character, deep knowledge, and excellent skills. We shall harness modern technologies, including the internet, for cross-cultural exchanges, telling the story of Daoism and spreading the harmonious sound of Daoism.

4.To practice compassion for all beings, fostering a spirit of universal love and aiding humanity, we shall strengthen exchanges and cooperation among global Daoist organizations, engage in charitable and public welfare endeavors, and dedicate ourselves to serving society and benefiting all living creatures, thus promoting the harmonious development of human society.

5.To respect the diversity of world civilizations and advance friendly exchanges and mutual learning among different countries, regions, civilizations and religions. We reject conflicts and confrontations, advocating for cooperation and mutual benefit. We shall promote the shared values of all humanity and work wholehartedly for building a community with a shared future for mankind and upholding world peace.
